SanlamAllianz Kenya has launched the Proud Moments Initiative, a campaign aimed at encouraging individuals, families and businesses to protect the milestones they have worked hard to achieve through financial planning and insurance.
The initiative, which will run across Africa from July to October 2026, seeks to highlight the stories behind personal and business success while promoting financial resilience.
As part of the campaign, the insurer is showcasing two of its existing products – Flexi Educator Plus and SME 360 Insurance – which are designed to help families save for education and enable small businesses to manage everyday risks.
Flexi Educator Plus combines long-term savings with life insurance, critical illness cover, guaranteed maturity benefits and waiver-of-premium features to help parents and guardians continue financing their children’s education even when faced with unexpected challenges.
Entrepreneurs will have coverage for threats like property damage, floods, injuries among employees and third-party liabilities. In addition, SanlamAllianz Emergency Assist (SAZ-Assist) service that connects its clients to private security companies, ambulances and roadside assistance through the use of the GPS technology has been incorporated in the product.
The company added that the SME 360 Insurance product was meant to fortify the capacity of micro, small and medium enterprises to withstand any form of challenge.
According to the 2022 Central Bank of Kenya MSME Survey report, MSMEs account for more than 14.9 million jobs in the country making them the biggest employers in the economy.
At the launch event, George Kuria, Chief Executive Officer of Sanlam Allianz General Insurance (Kenya) Limited said the new product acknowledges the efforts that people undertake in building up their families, businesses and career ambitions and at the same time motivates them to safeguard their hard work.
“Every proud moment is a product of dedication, resilience and pursuit of a dream,” Mr. Kuria said.
“No matter whether you are raising a family, paying for your child’s tuition or running a business; these milestones must be cherished and safeguarded.”
Sanlam Allianz Life Insurance Kenya Chief Executive Officer Jacqueline Karasha said insurance should go beyond responding to emergencies by helping people prepare for the future and protect the progress they have already made.
“Insurance should not only respond when things go wrong; it should also help people plan ahead, protect their progress and pursue new opportunities with confidence,” she said.
The company said both Flexi Educator Plus and SME 360 Insurance are available at different price points to make them accessible to customers across different income groups while supporting wider insurance uptake in Kenya.
