Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra has won the Best in Show award at the 2026 Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona, Spain, one of the mobile industry’s most recognized global events.
The award was announced at the Global Mobile Awards, also known as the GLOMO Awards, which is an annual event that recognizes outstanding achievements in mobile technology innovation.
The Best in Show award recognizes outstanding consumer devices that are not only technologically advanced but also user-friendly. The winners are selected by a panel of over 200 independent analysts, journalists, and experts in the industry.
During the awards that took place on the 4th of March this year, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra won the award for its unique features that bring together the latest technology with the new One UI 8.5. The device also features the new Galaxy AI, designed to help people accomplish their daily tasks with ease while keeping their information secure.
One of the outstanding features of the new device is the world’s first built-in Privacy Display, designed to offer a more secure viewing experience without compromising the level of brightness or quality of the display.
The device runs on a custom chipset that allows for quicker AI processing, thus enhancing the performance of the device.
Shaun Collins, the Chair of the Judges for the Best in Show 2026 at the MWC, said that the device won the award due to the high level of competition that the company faced in the industry.
“We look for technology that is not only innovative but also impactful for the industry. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra won our award this year for its innovation in mobile technology while addressing the issues of privacy and security that people are currently concerned about,” he said.
The judges noted that while most technologies presented at the MWC are futuristic, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is a device that people can use today.
Samsung announced that it is honored to have won the award this year at the GLOMO Awards, which is a testament to the company’s efforts in the development of mobile technology innovation.
Stephanie Choi, the Executive Vice President and Head of Mobile Marketing at Samsung’s Mobile eXperience Business, said that the company is honored to have received the award this year at the GLOMO Awards.
