More than 100 women running micro enterprises from the ROSE Women’s Foundation Programme benefitted from the DTB Women Entrepreneurs Digital and Financial Literacy Training, a free workshop organized by Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) at its head offices in Nairobi.
The event, held as part of DTB’s International Women’s Day (IWD) celebrations, reinforced the bank’s commitment to fostering financial inclusion and equipping women entrepreneurs with the digital and financial literacy skills necessary to scale their businesses.
The training targeted women in informal settlements across Nairobi, helping them navigate the digital economy and improve their financial management.
The DTB Women Entrepreneurs Digital and Financial Literacy Training featured industry experts who provided insights on digital literacy, social media marketing, and efficient management of chamas (informal savings groups).

Attendees learned how to reach and understand their target audiences, leverage digital platforms, and build brand awareness to drive engagement and sales.
They were also introduced to strategies for digitizing chama savings, personalized wallets, seamless transactions, chama loan management,and financial reporting.

Azmaira Thobani, DTB’s Head of Sustainability and Communications, applauded the women for their resilience and contribution to the economy, emphasizing the importance of digital transformation in business growth.
