Guinness on Sunday night transformed two popular Nairobi hangouts into buzzing football arenas, as thousands of fans showed up to watch the latest Premier League fixtures.
Bar Next Door along Kiambu Road and Konqa 254 Lounge in Ruaka were filled to capacity as supporters followed Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace before settling in for the much-awaited London Derby between Arsenal and Chelsea.
The mood shifted with every pass and tackle during the Arsenal-Chelsea clash. Arsenal fans, clearly out in big numbers, roared through the tense moments as their side edged out Chelsea 2-1 in a result that keeps the title race tight. When the final whistle blew, the celebrations were loud and emotional the kind you only get when football really matters.
The matches were shown on large HD screens with clear sound, giving fans a stadium-like feel. Media personality Carol Radull, known for her strong Arsenal allegiance, and Lotan Salapei, a Manchester City supporter, added flavour to the night with live analysis and banter that kept the crowd engaged.

Joy Murugi, Guinness Brand Manager, said the idea was to give fans a proper matchday atmosphere outside the stadium, especially at a time when the Premier League title race is heating up.
But the night was not just about football.
At Bar Next Door, Charisma delivered smooth live music while MC Gogo, BV Accurate and DJ Daffy kept the energy high between matches. Over at Konqa, rapper Khaligraph Jones took over the stage, joined by Mixmaster DJ Grauchi, turning the football night into a full-on party that ran into the early hours.
By the end of it all, it felt less like a sponsored event and more like a big community gathering strangers bonding over goals, missed chances and cold Guinness, all in the name of the beautiful game.
