Something powerful is stirring in Africa’s innovation space and this July, all eyes turn to Nairobi.
From July 8 to 10, the Women in STEM Africa Summit 2025 will bring together brilliant minds, bold ideas, and fresh momentum at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), setting the stage for a transformative chapter in the continent’s tech and science future
Organized by Women in Technology and Innovation Africa (WITIA) this three-day event aims to empower women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and bridge mythological gender gaps in the continent’s tech and innovation space.
“This summit is more than a conference its more of a movement, that is aiming to amplify African women’s voices and ideas to solve the most urgent and common challenges facing our communities through global collaboration, innovation, and bold leadership.” said Joyce Muthoni, CEO and Co-founder WITIA.
A Landmark Event for African Women in STEM
Themed “Borderless Innovation: Pioneering Global Technology Solutions for Africa’s Challenges”, the summit will focus on critical areas like Artificial Intelligence, Green Engineering, FinTech, Cybersecurity, Policy Advocacy, and Social Impact Innovation all led by women.

The event will be held alongside the Africa Technology Show and China Trade Week Kenya, the Women in STEM Summit 2025 will bring together over 500 delegates, including scientists, policymakers, investors, educators, innovators, and students from across the continent.
Building the Future, One Partnership at a Time
According to Dr. Bella Namango, board member WITIA, the summit is designed to spark action and long-term change.“ We’re not just hosting an event, we’re building a network of leaders, mentors, and allies the future of Africa’s tech depends on full, equal participation of women,” she said.
Over 30 influential voices are confirmed and set to take the stage, from top policy makers and tech pioneers to grassroots changemakers. But this summit isn’t just about conversations; it’s about turning ideas into action.
