In a powerful show of commitment to public welfare, NCBA and LVSWWDA have joined forces to advance sustainable community development across the Nyanza region.

The bank officially handed over the first batch of twenty-four 5,000-litre water tanks to the agency, marking a major step toward improved access to clean and reliable water.

These tanks will be distributed to schools, markets, and social and faith-based institutions across the eight counties served by the agency.

For years, many of these communities have faced chronic water shortages an issue that the NCBA and LVSWWDA partnership is now working to address through practical, community-centered action.

Speaking during the handover, NCBA Group Director for Corporate & Investment Banking, Tirus Mwithiga, emphasized the importance of the initiative:

“We are deepening our presence in the region by creating real value for communities through enhanced water storage capacity for schools, markets, and social institutions”

He added that the partnership between NCBA and LVSWWDA reflects a shared vision for sustainability and long-term transformation of the region.

The donation falls under the NCBA Change the Story initiative, which directs annual resources toward environmental sustainability, financial empowerment, education, and reducing environmental degradation.

LVSWWDA CEO Jackline Kemunto noted: “We are deeply grateful to NCBA for this generous contribution”

By supporting this initiative, NCBA and LVSWWDA are strengthening public-private collaboration while expanding NCBA’s presence in the Western region.
