LG Electronics has introduced a new way of reaching its customers in East Africa with the launch of the LG Best Care Trailer a 40-foot mobile support unit that will provide technical assistance and repairs right in local neighborhoods.
The trailer, unveiled at Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi, will initially move across different parts of the city including Eastlands, South B, Kasarani, Westlands, and Kilimani, with weekly schedules shared on LG East Africa’s social media pages.
Plans are already underway to expand the service to Mombasa, Kisumu, and Nakuru, before taking it to Uganda, Tanzania, and Zambia.
Fitted with diagnostic tools, spare parts, and skilled technicians, the mobile unit can handle a wide range of appliances from refrigerators and washing machines to televisions and audio systems.

Customers will be able to get on-site assessments, quick repairs, and practical maintenance advice without having to travel to service centers.
“For many Kenyans, reaching a service point can be both costly and time-consuming. With the LG Best Care Trailer, we are bringing expert support directly to where our customers live,” said Donghun Lee, President of LG Electronics East Africa.
The trailer will also act as more than just a repair hub. It doubles up as a moving LED billboard, a stage for talent showcases, and a platform for community engagement activities across the region.
Ronald Mitei, LG East Africa’s Service Director, noted that the initiative reflects LG’s focus on long-term customer care.
“Customer satisfaction does not end at the point of purchase. It extends throughout the lifetime of the product, and reliable after-care is a key part of that journey,” he said.
The launch comes at a time when LG products are in high demand. In 2024, the company’s OLED TVs took 57.5% of the global premium market, while total TV shipments hit 22.6 million units.
Its strong presence in laundry and built-in appliances is also driving the need for more accessible after-sales services.
Customers can track the trailer’s schedule and access service tips by following LGEastAfrica on social platforms.
