KUCCPS Opens TVET Applications for 2000–2025 KCSE Graduates

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened applications for students interested in pursuing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) courses for the May 2026 intake.

In a notice released on Sunday, March 8, KUCCPS said the application window is open to candidates from the 2000 to 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) cohorts. This means both recent graduates and those who completed Form Four in previous years can apply.

The courses are offered at national polytechnics, technical training institutes, institutes of science and technology, and other accredited TVET colleges across the country.

According to KUCCPS, students with any KCSE mean grade can find a course that suits them. “With any KCSE mean grade, you can find a course,” the placement body said.

Interested applicants are asked to log in to the KUCCPS student portal, choose their preferred courses, and submit their applications carefully. The deadline for submission is March 18, 2026.

KUCCPS emphasized that students should apply early and take time to review available courses and institutions before making their selections.

The May 2026 intake is part of the government’s effort to expand technical and vocational training, giving young people practical skills that match the needs of the job market.

The move also comes as the government, in partnership with China, works on developing more than 70 TVET institutions nationwide under Phase III of the Kenya-China Project. The programme includes modern equipment and infrastructure to boost technical training across the country.
