The KPSEA and KILEA performance reports have been uploaded by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC). This is a major milestone for candidates who have been tested via the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC). The council has also provided detailed instructions on how the results can be retrieved.
In a notice released on Tuesday, January 13, KNEC notified that the parents of candidates who sat the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) can now access the KPSEA and KILEA performance reports through the internet platform.
Accessing the KNEC KPSEA and KILEA Performance Reports
To access the KPSEA results, the parent is supposed to visit the 2025 KPSEA results website. Once the parent is logged in to the website, the parent is supposed to enter the assessment number and registered name.
Parents will then be asked to approve the privacy and access information notification before proceeding to search and view the result report.

The Kenya National Examinations and Certification Centre (KNEC), on the other hand, announced that performance of those that wrote Kenya Intermediate Level Education Assessment (KILEA) will be available through their institutions.
Institutions, however, can view individual learner performance reports for both assessments through the portal known as the Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) portal.
“The performance reports for the 2025 KPSEA and KILEA examinations are now available for viewing by schools and candidates,” the KNEC announced.
“Congratulations to all the candidates on their success. KNEC remains committed to providing quality educational assessment and certification,” said the council.
Regarding KPSEA and KILEA Exams
The KPSEA exams took place between October 27 and October 30, 2025. The exams were targeting Grade 6 learners who are transitioning based on the Competency-Based Education curriculum. The test is important for assessing the progress and placement of the candidates to the next level.
KICLEA exams, which took place between October 27th to October 31st, 2025, targeted learners with special needs at the intermediate level. This is part of KNEC’s strategic move to ensure inclusivity in exams as it implements CBC.
Based on the information from the KNEC, the total number of registered candidates who took the KPSEA test in 2025 was 1,298,089, while 1,130,587 learners took the KILEA test Parties involved in the education sector have hailed the issuance of the KPSEA and KILEA performance reports as an important step in the process of following the progress of learners as they move within the CBC framework.
