Minimum Admission Requirements

To join JKUAT for a degree program, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Mean Grade: KCSE C+ (Plus) or above.
  • Subject Requirements: Specific courses (like Engineering or Medicine) require at least a C+ or B in cluster subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and English.

How to Apply to JKUAT

There are two main ways to apply for these courses:

1. Government Sponsored (KUCCPS)

If you sat for your KCSE recently, you can apply through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS).

  • Visit the Portal: KUCCPS Student Portal
  • Login: Use your KCSE Index Number and KCPE Index Number (or Birth Certificate number) as the password.
  • Select JKUAT: Choose JKUAT as your preferred institution and list your courses in order of priority.

2. Self-Sponsored Students (SSP)

If you missed the KUCCPS cut-off or want to study part-time/evening, you can apply directly to JKUAT as a self-sponsored student.

  • Visit the JKUAT Admission Portal: https://admission.jkuat.ac.ke
  • Create an Account: Register with your email and personal details.
  • Apply: Select your course and upload your academic certificates.
