Nairobi is gearing up for a weekend of football and music as the African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2025 comes to a close at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
Tanzanian star Zuchu has confirmed she will perform at the grand finale on Saturday, August 30.
She will share the stage with Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo and Kenya’s very own Savara from Sauti Sol, making the event a true East African affair.
The three stars, each a household name in the region, will entertain fans before kick-off and after the final whistle, giving the tournament a festival-like atmosphere beyond just football.
On the pitch, defending champions Morocco are chasing history as they look to secure their third CHAN title something no other team has achieved.
They booked their spot in the final after edging Senegal 5-3 in a tense penalty shootout.
Madagascar, on the other hand, are making history of their own with their first-ever CHAN final appearance. They knocked out co-hosts Kenya in the quarterfinals via penalties before stunning Sudan with a late extra-time winner in the semis.
For Kenyan fans, the pain of Harambee Stars’ early exit still lingers after their penalty shootout loss to Madagascar on August 22. Still, all eyes now turn to Kasarani, which will be the heartbeat of this weekend’s celebrations.
With high-energy performances from some of East Africa’s biggest music stars and a nail-biting final between Morocco and Madagascar, the CHAN 2025 finale promises an unforgettable mix of football, culture, and entertainment.
