TECNO is preparing to roll out a new mobile AI feature in Kenya and other emerging markets, marking a fresh step in how people use their smartphones daily.

The company has announced the upcoming beta launch of EllaClaw, a mobile AI agent built on the OpenClaw framework. The tool is designed to make everyday phone tasks easier, especially for users who may not be very tech-savvy.

EllaClaw is built into Ella, TECNO’s virtual assistant, and works in the background of the phone. Thus, the application allows the user to perform prolonged actions without leaving one app for another.

Another interesting aspect of the application’s design is the possibility of “one sentence automation”. The concept refers to a situation when an individual gives a single, rather informal command to their phone, and the system acts in its entirety.

In addition, the software provides connectivity for information stored in various applications, namely SMS, calendar, and notes. Therefore, users are capable of keeping records of their expenses, correspondence, travel information, and other data.

For example, EllaClaw can sort and summarise SMS messages, highlight the important ones, and even point out those that are not needed. It can also create a daily summary by pulling together calendar plans, notes, weather updates, and news into one simple view.

According to TECNO, the tool is designed in a way to learn as it is being used. The more users use the system, the more EllaClaw learns about their preferences and needs.

However, at the same time, the company claims to have ensured that the personal information of users is safeguarded. This means the personal data of the users will remain completely private and secure.

The innovation is another step in line with the latest release of the CAMON 50 series in Kenya, which is all about speed and efficiency. By adding EllaClaw to its product range, TECNO takes one more step closer to the creation of the personalized smartphone experience.

There have been no details released by TECNO concerning the exact dates for the beta testing in Kenya, but the company promises to provide further instructions very soon.
