Receiving a smartphone from Safaricom was a surprise and a huge motivation. Tournaments like this will definitely inspire more young players to dream big.”
St. John’s JSS Head Coach Brian Busaka praised the tournament’s impact.
“This has been a great experience for our players, especially those who have never played in such high-quality facilities. Our opponents were tough, but we played a tactical game that led us to victory. We also appreciate the financial literacy lessons provided by the M-PESA team, which are crucial for these young talents.”
As part of their triumph, players from both winning teams received smartphones and airtime, courtesy of Safaricom M-PESA.
