Safaricom has today hosted its first-ever Innovation Day, bringing together over 100 business leaders, technology partners, and enterprise customers to showcase how it is helping businesses embrace digital transformation.
Themed “Powering What’s Next: AI, Resilience & Sustainable Innovation,” the event highlighted Safaricom’s evolution from a connectivity provider to a full technology partner for enterprises.
The discussions at Safaricom Innovation Day focused on the future of business technology, with displays in areas of cloud computing, cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI). Safaricom states that these solutions are designed to allow businesses to remain secure, efficient, and future-proof.
“As digitization accelerates across all sectors, businesses need trusted partners who can offer secure, AI-powered, and scalable solutions. Our goal is to walk with them in this journey of digital transformation,” said Frankline Okata, Acting Chief Enterprise Business Officer at Safaricom.

Okata added that the Innovation Day was not just about showcasing technology, but also about Safaricom’s renewed commitment to driving enterprise growth.
“Safaricom Business Innovation Day is not just an exhibition, but a statement of intent. We are becoming a strategic tech partner, helping businesses build resilience, competitiveness, and sustainable growth,” he said.
With the new strategy, Safaricom is positioning as a purpose-led technology business, ready to help businesses in Kenya and across Africa with future-proof solutions.
