Safaricom Business has unveiled the first batch of winners in its ongoing Shangwe @25 promotion, marking an early milestone in a nationwide campaign designed to reward enterprise customers and support business growth across Kenya.
Announced on Monday, December 15, the Shangwe @25 promotion has already rewarded 25 enterprises drawn from micro, small, medium and large business segments, highlighting Safaricom’s focus on practical support for both commercial growth and social impact.
Shangwe @25 Promotion Delivers Early Wins for Businesses
Under the Shangwe @25 promotion, ten MSMEs walked away with a Bajaj tricycle each to support day-to-day operations, nine businesses received restock packages worth KES 250,000 each, while six large enterprises were awarded KES 500,000 each to fund Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects of their choice.
The tricycle winners include Sakifarm Limited, Millys the Redbeet Fresh Mat, Tito Busienei, Leonard Oongo, Carrix Media Group Limited, Samuel Kimando, Alex Wasike, Manjok Ltd, Douglas Onserio and Muriiri Girls Secondary School.
Meanwhile, Ebee Mobility Kenya Limited, Justus Kiprono Koros, Robert Nyakundi Ayuka, Taifa Sacco Limited, Federico Investments, Robstar Premium Fit Ltd, Sawe Cheruiyot Mais, Ronak Distributors and Golden Green Properties Ltd received business restock support under the Shangwe @25 promotion.
Large enterprises including Moringa School Limited, the European Union, United Nations Federal Credit, Vivo Activewear Ltd, Kenya Human Rights Commission and GlovoApp Ltd were each awarded KES 500,000 to support CSR initiatives aligned with their community goals.
Speaking during the announcement, Safaricom Business Ag. Chief Enterprise Business Officer Frankline Okata said the Shangwe @25 promotion was Safaricom’s way of appreciating enterprise customers who continue to partner with the company.

“The Shangwe @25 promotion is designed to thank our customers, including our enterprise partners. These randomly selected winners represent the many businesses we work with every day, and we remain committed to providing practical tools that help enterprises grow and thrive,” Okata said.
Beyond rewards, beneficiaries shared how Safaricom Business solutions are already transforming operations. Sakifarm CEO Elijah Sawe said bulk SMS and M-PESA for Business have improved efficiency and strengthened relationships with more than 300 farmers.
“We rely heavily on Safaricom Business solutions, especially bulk SMS and automated payments. During peak season, we make over 100 payments daily, which has helped us build trust, stay competitive and reduce operational costs,” Sawe said.
Moringa School CEO Nikki Germany welcomed the CSR support, noting that the funding will directly impact youth skills development.
“This contribution strengthens our mission to equip young people with market-ready tech skills and allows us to reach learners who would otherwise miss out,” she said.
Safaricom Business customers can join the Shangwe @25 promotion by buying, renewing or reactivating any enterprise service, including voice, internet, IoT, cloud, cybersecurity or M-PESA for Business. Each transaction earns one entry, with winners announced weekly throughout the eight-week campaign, which runs until January 19, 2026.
