Safaricom has partnered with Naivas Supermarket to make Safaricom 5G Home Internet devices more accessible to Kenyans, a move that is expected to ease access to fast and reliable home connectivity across the country.
Safaricom 5G Home Internet rollout strengthened through Naivas partnership
Safaricom announced the collaboration as part of its 25-year celebrations, marking another step in widening the reach of Safaricom 5G Home Internet, especially for households looking for faster and more dependable home internet solutions. With devices now available in every Naivas outlet, customers can conveniently pick up a router while doing their regular shopping.
Over the years, Safaricom has grown from a mobile operator to a technology company with a much bigger footprint in Kenya’s digital transformation journey. The rollout of Safaricom 5G Home Internet is part of that shift, connecting more homes and supporting the country’s push toward a fully digital economy.
“We are proud to partner with Naivas Supermarket to bring our internet connectivity closer to customers. It’s a significant milestone in our journey to expand access to high-speed internet,” said Fawzia Ali, Chief Consumer Business Officer at Safaricom.
The partnership also comes as Naivas marks 35 years in the retail business. For Safaricom, tapping into the retailer’s wide network will help push Safaricom 5G Home Internet deeper into communities, making it easier for Kenyans to adopt faster internet options.
Earlier this year, Safaricom teamed up with Quickmart to scale both 4G and Safaricom 5G Home Internet devices across all its outlets. Customers can also get routers priced at KSh 2,999 from Safaricom Shops, authorized dealers, or online via Masoko.
Safaricom has also upgraded its Home Fibre package, increasing speeds on the entry plan from 10Mbps to 15Mbps at no extra cost. New customers will now pay KSh 2,999 for the enhanced package, making it easier for households to enjoy smoother streaming, online work, and digital services.
With the continued rollout of Safaricom 5G Home Internet, Kenya is strengthening its place as a regional digital hub. The technology promises faster speeds, better service delivery and greater access to essential online services, no matter where customers live.
