Kinga App, a new mobile platform aimed at improving Kenya’s boda boda sector was launched in Nairobi on March 29 at Green Park Terminus, in a move expected to boost one of the country’s largest informal industries.
The industry, however, faces several challenges, including insecurity, a lack of access to loans, and health support for the riders. The app, however, seeks to improve the lives of the riders by giving them access to some of the services that they have been unable to access in the past.
The app gives the riders access to loans, medical cover, and a way to identify genuine riders. It also enables them to track their income, which can be sent to them through the app.

However, during the launch of the app, Data Lock CEO Vincent Sila explained that the main purpose of the app is to bring some order to the sector and also provide more opportunities to the riders.
He added that the riders have been working in the sector without support for a long time and that the purpose of the app is to help improve their working conditions.
It is also expected that the app will help in improving the safety of the riders. The riders will be registered and their movements tracked, and this will help in reducing crime in the country.

Another advantage of the app is that it is also creating another opportunity in the country—advertising. The businesses will be able to reach their clients through the bodaboda riders, and this will be an alternative way of advertising the business.
It is also likely that the bodaboda riders will be able to make more money from advertising their businesses.
However, the success of the app will depend on the support of different groups in the country, including the government and different businesses and financial institutions.
If it is successful, the app will change the way the bodaboda sector is run in the country and make it easier for the bodaboda riders to grow their income.
