Kenya Airways Boeing 737-800 fleet expansion continues to gain altitude with the addition of a 170-seat aircraft, leased from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), bringing the total fleet count of the national carrier to 35.
The new aircraft, a Boeing 737-800, marks a significant step in KQ’s modernization efforts and signals its resilience in an aviation sector grappling with global aircraft shortages. The jet, an appositive symbol of Kenya Airways’ commitment to growth and innovation, will enhance seat capacity and offer passengers increased travel flexibility.

Kilavuka noted that the airline is actively seeking further growth opportunities and is in advanced discussions with global aircraft manufacturers and leasing companies.
