After the official announcement of the KCSE results for 2025, students can access their results via the systems of the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) using the internet or text messages.

How to Check 2025 KCSE Results Online

In order to gain access to the results of the 2025 KCSE examination results online, a student would need to have the right index number and name.

Firstly, candidates should visit the website of KNEC and navigate to the KCSE results section, which is accessed through results.knec.ac.ke.

Then, they will be asked to enter their 11-digit index number just as they will have written it on their 2025 KCSE examination registration slip.

Finally, the candidate should enter their registered name by typing it, with the spelling identical to that used during the registration process.

After filling the details, the student can click the “Submit” button to access the 2025 KCSE results. Additionally, there is an option for downloading the results for future reference.

How to Check 2025 KCSE Results via SMS

Those contestants who favor using mobile phones will also be able to access results for KCSE 2025 through an SMS service.

In this process, one is required to send their index number to a short code 20076. Each SMS costs Ksh25.

KNEC advises the candidates to make sure that the index number is typed correctly to avoid any delay in the request being processed.

Grading Systems for KCSE 2025 Students

The marks for KCSE results in 2025 can be graded using a scale comprising grades going from grade ‘A’, which is the highest grade, to grade ‘E’, which is the lowest grade.

Apart from the normal grades, there are special grades which are used under different conditions.

Grade X is used for those who were absent during the exams. Grade Y is used for those who were involved in any form of irregularities in the exams, while Grade W indicates withheld results.
