On the final night of 2025, as Nairobi counted down into the new year, the Ole-Sereni New Year’s Eve firework display went up in the sky yet again, further securing the hotel chain’s status as an institution in the city’s festivities.

As midnight drew near, guests congregated at all Ole-Sereni properties for a dining and entertainment treat, a hallmark of the Ole-Sereni New Year’s Eve Fireworks Tradition.

The events were held in conjunction at Ole-Sereni Hotel and Emara Ole-Sereni. The two hotels provided different packages to suit the occasion. This involved a buffet dinner at Big Five Restaurant in Ole-Sereni Hotel at KES 6,500. Emara Ole-Sereni provided a superior buffet at Acacaia Restaurant at KES 7,500. The Emara package provided free entry to the Ole-Sereni New Year’s Eve firework.

The highlight of the evening came in form of a sky fireworks show, which was held at Sky Lounge located on the 10th floor of Emara Ole Sereni Building. Offering a 270-degree view to all attendees, Sky Lounge gave viewers a chance to witness from a distant view as the Emara Ole Sereni New Year’s Eve fireworks show lit up the entire city beyond its horizon.

For Ole-Sereni Hotels, the fireworks display has come to be known as the climax of each year a tradition which has witnessed consistent demand and bookings by guests at Ole-Sereni Hotels. An added incentive for guests at Emara Ole-Sereni was free entry to the Ole-Sereni New Year’s Eve firework display by Ole-Sereni Hotels.

The ticket prices for non-residents staying in the country but not from the location stood at KES 3,000. It was an adult-only affair, with guests required to be 18 years and above. It had food stations, bars, DJs, and a sax musician.

Identified by Rooftop Guide Magazine among the top rooftop destinations in Nairobi, Sky Lounge has continued to reinvent itself as an events and celebration destination. This can accommodate up to 700 people during celebrations and other events like launches and weddings, making it an added attraction to the Ole-Sereni New Year’s Eve firework display.

With the stroke of midnight, accompanied by the color of the night sky popping with fireworks, Ole-Sereni Hotels proved, not for the first time, why the value of consistency, scale, and experience-driven services is helping the hotel maintain a stronghold in the competitive Nairobi market.
