Safaricom brought together more than 250 farmers, Agri-entrepreneurs and stakeholders for a day of learning, empowerment and networking.
Held as part of the M-PESA @18 celebrations, the forum provided a platform for farmers across the Rift region to explore practical digital tools, access financial literacy sessions, and discover new pathways to scale their agribusinesses.

“Today, we have been able to equip over 250 farmers with financial tools and digital solutions, knowledge and networks that can help transform their farming into thriving agribusinesses”.
“At Safaricom, we are committed to supporting businesses of different kinds as they embrace technology and take their businesses to the next level,” said Fawzia Ali- Kimanthi, Chief Consumer Business Officer, Safaricom PLC.
The Safire Connect Forum featured a vibrant lineup of partners including Microsoft, DTB Bank, E- Mobilis, Centonomy, Strathmore Business School, TransUnion, and Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr (CDH)- for business-related legal matters.
Safaricom showcased a range of innovative solutions as part of the forum tailored to meet the diverse needs of its customers, including DigiFarm- an agri-tech platform that sustainably finances smallholder farmers and connects them to quality products, services and markets.

Others included financial tools like Ziidi MMF, Fuliza ya Biashara, and Pochi la Biashara, which support business growth and cash flow management, Taasi Till and Taasi Pochi for streamlined financial organisation, and Lipa na M-PESA, enabling secure, cashless transactions.
The forum was part of the M-PESA Sokoni Rift Edition, a week-long celebration of M-PESA @ 18, running from 14th to 19th July.
The regional festivities kicked off in Turbo and continue across the Rift region with roadshows, customer rewards, and community engagement forums like Safire Connect all aimed at deepening digital and financial inclusion.
